( Irna ) - An earthquake with a 3.7 magnitude jolted suburbs of the city of 'Ma'moulan' in Lorestan province, in western Iran Tuesday evening.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, registered the earthquake at 21:09 hours local time (1839 GMT).
The tremor was epicentered in an area located 33.17 degrees in latitude and 48.18 degrees in longitude, the report added.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
