The cumulative production from Iran’s Yadavaran oilfield has reached 100.6 million barrels since starting the development project, Hadi Nazarpour, the operator of oilfield’s development project, said.

Yadavaran oilfield is one of the five oilfields, dubbed the West Karoun oilfields, Iran shares with Iraq at the western part of Iran’s southwestern region of Karoun.

The first phase of Yadavaran’s development project was inaugurated by President Hassan Rouhani last November.

The reserves of this field stand at about 33 billion barrels and commencing the second phase, would bring the production level to over 450,000 b/d.

According to Nazarpour, the field’s recovery rate stands at 15 percent for light oil and 6-7 percent for heavy oil.
