The volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iranian ports during the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2018) registered a tiny increase year-on-year.
Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization says that over 153 million tons of various type of cargo have been loaded/unloaded in the country's ports during the 12-month period.
The report indicates that the total volume of loading/unloading in Iranian ports has increased by 5.5 percent, year on year.
Oil products rank first among the cargo types. Over 46.7 million tons of oil products were loaded/unloaded in Iranian ports, which is 1.3 percent more compared to the same period of the preceding year.
The report, published by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization, covers transportation activities in Iranian ports of Abadan, Astara, Imam Khomeini, Amirabad, Anzali, Boushehr, Jask, Chabahar, Khorramshahr, Shahid Bahonar, Shahid Rajaei, Fereydunkenar, Qeshm, Ganaveh, Lengeh, Neka and Nowshahr.
