Iran announces trade turnover volume in Kurdistan province

This Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), the value of the trade turnover of the Iranian Kurdistan province amounted to $4.237 billion, Trend reports citing chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the Iranian Kurdistan province Mohammad Derevezmi as saying.

Meanwhile, 31-percent-growth was observed in terms of weight and 18-percent-growth was observed in terms of value this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The total volume of export of the province reached 2,794 tons, Derevezmi added.

Over the first eight months of last Iranian year (started on March 21, 2017), 351,000 tons in terms of weight and $237 million in terms of value accounted for the export of goods from the province, which is 101-percent growth in terms of weight and 110-percent-growth in terms of value, he said.

Over eight months, 8,500 tons of products worth $25 million have been imported through the province, Derevezmi said.

During the same period of last Iranian year, 42,000 tons of products worth $48 million were imported, which is 80 percent less in terms of weight and 49 percent less in terms of value, he said.

Derevezmi said that 1,492 tons in terms of weight and $3.299 billion in terms of value accounted for the goods transited thorugh the province over eight months, which is 15 percent more in terms of weight and 12 percent more in terms of value compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

The products were exported from the province to Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and Russia.

Meanwhile, 98 percent of exported products accounted for Iraq and 7 percent of exported goods accounted for Iran’s province.
