Two chain reaction accidents occurred on the Karaj-Qazvin highway in Iran, Director of the Emergency Medical Center of the Alborz Province Mehrdad Babai said, Trend reports on Jan. 29.
As a result of the accidents, one person died and 11 people were injured, he said.
Four people were injured in the first road accident in which a bus and a truck collided. One person died in hospital, Babai said.
Two pickups and several cars collided in the second accident. As a result, eight injured people were hospitalized, he added.
Babai added that the situation on the roads in the province worsened as a result of torrential rains.
