On June 15 Co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Council of Europe John Prescott and Georges Colombier will arrive in Armenia on a three-day visit, Public Radio of Armenia reported.
During the meeting the co-rapporteurs will be hosted by President Serzh Sargsyan and Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan.
John Prescott and Georges Colombier are expected to meet the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of the ad hoc commission set to investigate the events of March 1 and 2 in Yerevan and their results, as well as members of the Armenian delegation to PACE, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Sport and Youth Affairs Artak Davtyan, RA Prosecuor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan, Ambassadors of Council of Europe Member states and representatives of international organizations.
The co-rapporteurs will meet also Levon Ter-Petrosyan, representatives of non-governmental organizations, ex-members of the fact-finding group of experts, detained persons.
