Georgian Foreign Minister, Rice Discuss Bilateral Relations (video)
( Civil ) - Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili held talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Washington on September 11 to discuss Georgia's integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures.
The US secretary of state has pledged full support for Georgia on this matter, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides also discussed bilateral relations, as well as cooperation in the security field and the situation in Iraq.
On September 11 Bezhuashvili also met Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
"Special emphasis was laid on the Pentagon's support for Georgia's movement to a qualitatively new level of integration into the Alliance - Membership Action Plan," the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
