Legal proceedings on Okruashvili’s case to be held today

( Prime-News ) - Legal proceedings on the case of Irakli Okruashvili, former defense minister of Georgia, will be held today.

Eka Beselia, Attorney of Irakli Okruashvili, told Prime-News that Okruashvili would not attend the process, as he is abroad and "will not be able to arrive in Georgia in one hour".

Irakli Okruashvili, former Defense Minister of Georgia, leader of the party "Movement for the United Georgia", was detained on September 27. General Prosecutor's Office accuses Okruashvili of money extortion, money laundering, misuse of power and negligence. He was released one month ago for GEL 10 million bail.
