Israel has moved units of the elite Givati Brigades towards the Gaza Strip on the second day of its counter-terror operation Pillar of Cloud, the Voice of Russia reported.
The Givati Brigades have ample experience of fighting Hamas radicals in Gaza. Defense Minister Ehud Barak earlier authorized the call-up of reservists for a possible ground invasion of the Palestinian territory after a long-range rocket, fired from the enclave, landed in Tel Aviv.
Local police have not yet found any traces of the missile's landing either in or outside the city.
