More than 70 militants have been killed so far during the ongoing operation in Bannu of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province, the private Geo TV channel reported on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
Shelling on militants strongholds is underway by gunship helicopters and heavy artillery, said the report.
According to sources, more than 70 militants have been killed during two days of operation in Baka Khel and Jani Khel areas of Bannu.
Meanwhile, a curfew continued for the second day in Bannu city and security forces contingents are patrolling in different areas.
