Cuban foreign minister announced that Cuban President Raul Castro will pay a visit to Tehran in the near future, ILNA reported.
Cuba's Minister of Foreign Relations Bruno Rodriguez Parrila announced the news during joint press conference with Manouchehr Mottaki Saturday.
Parrila stressed the need for the further expansion and development of ties between his country and Iran.
The Cuban foreign minister has condemned the US-backed sanctions slapped on Iran for its peaceful nuclear activities, voicing his country's backing for Tehran's civilian atomic program.
The Cuban foreign minister also met with Saeed Jalili, Iranian Supreme National Security Council secretary.
