The MAZ driver roughly violated the traffic rules by driving into the oncoming lane. As a result, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Shamanov, the commander of the Russian Airborne Forces, and people accompanying him were injured, the Russian Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti.
The Russian Interior Ministry confirms the fact of the accident in the Tula region.
"The case is promptly investigated. The leadership of the Tula Interior Department is on the scene. According to the preliminary data, the MAZ driver roughly violated the traffic rules by driving into the oncoming lane," the Russian Interior Ministry said.
