Ukraine is helping to evacuate 108 citizens of 15 countries from Libya, the local media announced Tuesday, Xinhua reported.

Ukrainian large amphibious landing ship "Konstantin Olshansky" has evacuated 85 Ukrainians and 108 citizens of 14 countries from crisis-hit Libya on late Monday.

On the midday of Tuesday, the ship disembarked 74 foreign evacuees from Libya in the Maltese port of Valetta. The rest of 34 foreigners will go to Ukraine.

After departing from Malta the ship will head for the Ukrainian port of Sevastopol situated in Crimea. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the vessel is due to arrive there on April 10.

Citizens of the United States, Britain, Russia, Belarus, Greece and other countries expressed the will to be evacuated on the Ukrainian ship.

Ukraine is the only state that sent to Libya military craft on a humanitarian mission. A large landing ship "Konstantin Olshansky" arrived to Libya shores on March 28. There are 107 crewmembers, 2 missile systems and 2 antiaircraft on it.
