Dominique Strauss-Kahn is to be released from jail in exchange for 1 million dollars cash bail plus a 5-million-dollar bond, a New York judge ruled Thursday.
The ruling will allow the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to live in New York with his wife under strict monitoring by an armed guard and video cameras to prevent his flight, DPA reported.
The international finance figure was also indicted by a grand jury on charges of sexual assault and attempted rape in the case, which charges he assaulted a hotel housekeeper on Saturday, the New York District Attorney Cyrus Vance announced Thursday.
