(ForUm) - The Prime Minister of Egypt Ahmed Nazif can visit Ukraine in May-June of the current year.
According to the Cabinet press office, the prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych invited the Egyptian Prime Minister to visit Ukraine. The Egyptian PM accepted the invitation.
In the scope of the meeting, Yanukovych noted that Ukraine is interested in further development of mutually beneficial Ukrainian-Egyptian cooperation and in preserving current dynamic in bilateral contacts, reports Trend.
Yanukovych noted that exchange of visits between Ukraine and Egypt at the high level is of great importance for Ukraine.
According to the head of the Ukrainian Government, Ukraine considers Egypt as important partner in Near-Eastern and African region.
The Ukrainian PM also expressed interest in investment cooperation with Egypt. The parties discussed the work of common intergovernmental committee on economic and scientific-technical cooperation, having noticed that this committee is one of the efficient mechanisms in the development of relations, the press office informed.
The Prime Ministers also discussed relations in energy sphere, in particular Ukraine's win in tender on deposits on the Egypt territory.
In his turn, Nazif invited Yanukovych to pay official visit to Egypt. The press office noted that turnover between Ukraine and Egypt comprised USD 720 million for eleven months of last year.
