On Wednesday, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation on Israel's offensive on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu reported.
Two leaders exchanged views over the tension and they underlined the importance of securing a truce to make sure that the tension does not get worse.
Sources also said Erdogan and Putin briefed each other over their respective talks over the tension.
