In November 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from the US through Turkish ports exceeded 16.8 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The volume of cargo transshipment from the US by ships flying the US flag amounted to 42,331 tons, while the US vessels flying flags of other countries carried over 16.2 million tons of cargo.
During the reported period, cargo transshipment from the US by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 555,090 tons.
“During this period, 331,670 tons of cargo were sent from the US in transit through Turkish ports,” the ministry said.
In November 2019, Turkish ports received 4,379 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to over 68 million tons.
In the reporting period, 1,577 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 2,802 vessels flying flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
In November 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 11 million tons, and vessels flying flags of other countries – over 57 million tons.
From January through November 2019, Turkish ports received 50,987 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 728.7 million tons.
In the reporting period, 19,568 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 31,419 vessels flying flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
From January through November 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 111.9 million tons, and vessels flying flags of other countries – 616.8 million tons.
