The Turkish State Railways (TCDD) is set to implement 41 projects in 2020, some of which were launched in 2019 and 2018, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
The ministry noted that the total cost of all projects implemented by TCDD in 2020 is worth 115.8 million liras ($18.5 million).
The ministry earlier said that 25.2 billion liras ($4 million) will be invested in transport and infrastructure projects in Turkey in 2020, and the implementation of projects to create 12 logistics centers is ongoing.
In total, 2,994 projects will be implemented in Turkey in 2020, 455 of which are in the field of transport and infrastructure. In general, over 77.1 billion liras ($12.3 million) were allocated for all projects.
According to the ministry, eight such centers are under development, and the construction of four continues.
Foreign contractors may take part in the construction.
The construction projects of 21 logistics centers in Turkey will be implemented as part of the Goal-2023 government plan. Nine logistics centers have already been commissioned.
