BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. In March 2024, the number of passengers arriving at Antalya International Airport in Türkiye climbed by 21 percent year-on-year to more than 3.3 million, Trend reports via the Türkiye's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In March 2024, the airport had a significant increase in passenger traffic. Domestic flight traffic increased by 18 percent, to 1.4 million passengers, while foreign flights increased by 24 percent, to 1.9 million passengers, compared to the same period in 2023.
The airport's cargo turnover in March 2024 was 37,427 tons, up 12 percent over the same period in 2023.
In March 2024, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights climbed by 12 percent compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 12,858 tons, while international flights increased by 12 percent, totaling 24,568 tons.
According to the data, the number of flights from the airport in March 2024 increased by 9 percent over March 2023, totaling 24,919. At the same time, the number of domestic flights climbed by 3 percent, to 11,70, while foreign flights increased by 15 percent, to 13,849.
In March of this year, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports was 43.85 million persons, with cargo turnover reaching 1.1 million tons.
