( Cihan ) - Eight people died and two were injured when two cars collided in central turkey on Monday.
The accident occurred near central Turkish province of Konya on the fifth kilometer of the Afyonkarahisar-Konya highway.
The accident is reported to have been caused by the fine gravel spread on the highway in order to prevent the asphalt from melting.
Afyonkarahisar governor Haluk Imga arrived at the scene for inspection.
