The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) raised 37 million Azerbaijani manats at a deposit auction July 18, read a message posted on the CBA website.
The CBA was ready to receive 100 million manats from the banks through the auction, but local banks’ demand was 37 million manats.
Interest rate on the banks’ deposits was 6.98 percent.
The Central Bank has held three deposit auctions recently. The CBA attracted 129 million manats during the first auction held July 13, 50 million manats during the second auction on July 4, and 45 million manats during the third auction on July 11.
