Several teams have already started working on implementation of their ideas at the "Applab" office of Bakcell - the First Mobile Operator and Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan.
The project was launched four months ago, and the selection committee has selected 8 projects, out of well over 70 applications. The selected teams have already started working on their projects at the "Applab" office. A dedicated team of experts from Bakcell and Qualcomm will provide young developers with the required studies and advices to design and implement a proof of concept for a new mobile application across a broader range of local market requirements.
Within the frames of the "Applab" project, young developers are have the opportunity to work at the "AppLab" office, located at the Sahil office of Bakcell, and equipped with free Internet access, desks and training space; and use the latest devices for testing their products. At the same time the Applab members have a free access to the Microsoft software for programmers and startups, along with cloud environment and various trainings in the field of technology and business. Moreover, the participants of the project will gain access to various investors and consultants, and benefit from an opportunity to bring own developed apps to international markets and enjoy other broad marketing opportunities.

The selection committee composed of representatives of Bakcell and Qualcomm, together with independent experts, will carefully examine each application and invite authors of the most interesting ideas to the Office.
