Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Turkey, Abdulaziz Kamilov and Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations, Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported on Sept. 26.
The parties held a meeting in New York on Sept.25.
The ministers also discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.
Within the meeting, the Uzbek side officially confirmed the support of Turkey's candidacy in the election of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2015-2016 years.
Furthermore the heads of Foreign ministries of two countries discussed some issues of international and regional policy and other issues of mutual interest.
