The newly appointed ambassador of Belgium to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Alex Van Meeuwen handed over his credentials addressed to the head of state, to the country's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on March 11.
During the meeting, the sides said that the political dialogue gives a dynamic and progressive nature to Uzbek-Belgian relations.
They also emphasized the mutual interest in expanding direct ties between business circle representatives of the two countries, as well as exchange of visits and holding business forums.
Moreover, the sides emphasized the importance of expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, primarily, in the spheres of education, health care and art.
