In a phone talks with his Yemeni counterpart on Monday evening, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif asked for safe and sound return home of kidnapped Iranian diplomat Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht, and Yemen's pushing and cooperation of matter, IRNA reported.

Expressing Tehran's deep concern and mentioning Yemen's responsibility for the kidnapped Iranian diplomat's safe and sound return, the Iranian top diplomat asked Yemen's Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi for the Yemeni government's respective acting and cooperation.

Nour Ahmad Nikbakht, administrative attaché of Iran's embassy in Sana was kidnapped by an armed group on July 21, 2013 and since then Yemeni and Iranian officials are following up the case.
