An earthquake measuring 5.0 hit the Kyzylsu-Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture of China's north-western autonomous region of Xinjiang-Uyghur, the TASS news agency reported citing Chinese seismological center.
The quake's epicentre was located near the administrative center of the prefecture - the city of Artush.
Its source was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The casualties or damages are yet to be reported.
