Azerbaijan eyes expanding co-op with Pakistan in high technologies field

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.

The Minister congratulated Bilal Hayee on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and wished him success.

Ramin Guluzade told the ambassador during the meeting about the recent military provocations of Armenia against Azerbaijan. He also reported on civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure as a result of the October 28 missile attack by the Armenia Armed Forces on Barda, using banned cluster bombs.

The Minister said that as a result of ballistic missile attacks by Armenia Armed Forces in the Aghdam, Aghjabadi, Terter, Goranboy and Barda regions, Ganja and Mingachevir, as well as the Khizi and Absheron regions remote from the conflict zone, from September 27 to the present day, 91 civilians died, 400 civilians were injured and more than 3,000 civilian objects were damaged.

Ramin Guluzade noted that the international community should firmly condemn Armenia for war crimes and urge it to refrain from such actions.

Ambassador Bilal Hayee said that the fair position of Azerbaijan has always been supported by Pakistan and will be supported in the future.

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of innovation and high technologies, including transport.
