The member of the Azerbaijan delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), MP Ganira Pashayeva, informed Trend that a meeting Commenced between the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia to the PACE on January 25 in Strasburg. According to her, the meeting was held within the PACE Ad Hoc Committee on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The meeting is also attended by the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on Nagorno-Karabakh, Lord Russell Johnston. The meeting covers the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, reasons of failure to implement the PACE Resolution No. 1416 on the conflict and other questions, Pashayeva said.
The PACE Resolution No. 1416 on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict recommends to hold meetings between the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Official Baku said that it is interested in holding such meetings.
