An earthquake has today hit Azerbaijani capital of Baku, and tremors could be felt in the city, Director General of Republican Seismological Service Center, Gurban Yetirmishli told Trend.
The tremors were recorded at 11:05:28 local time in the Caspian Sea at a depth of 84 kilometres, according to the seismological service center.
The earthquake's magnitude was 5.4.
Earlier two underwater earthquakes hit the Caspian Sea at depths of 30 and 45 kilometres. Both of them measured 3.1 on the Richter scale.
