Four Parties Violate Opposition Unity to Differ from Others – Azerbaijani Classic Popular Front Party’s Chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Four parties violated the opposition unity in order to differ from political organizations, Mirmahmud Miralioglu, the chairman of the Classic Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (CPFPA), said on 5 November.

The round table will be held with participation of Azerbaijan, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, the International Foundation of Election System (IFES) and political parties on 7 and 9 November.

Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), Democratic Party of Azerbaijan 9DPA), Liberal Party of Azerbaijan (LPA) and Musavat made decision to come forward with a single position and to develop joint package of proposals. The aforesaid parties propose the half places in election commissions to be formed from representatives of the Authority and the other half from DPA, Musavat, LPA and PFPA.

The aforesaid parties united and created Task Group in order to improve the election commission of Azerbaijan. The Task Group developed its proposals concerning formation of election commissions on parity basis.

According to Maralioglu, the parties which consider themselves the leading ones must concentrate attention on change of public political situation in the country.
