Exit-Poll by  Ray  Center in   Azerbaijan Says Candidate from Ruling Party Wins Presidential Elections

Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 October / Trend , corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / Azerbaijani-based Ray Monitoring Center disclosed the results of the exit-poll being held during the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. The Head of the Center, Rizvan Abbasov, said that during the survey, 80.5% of the voters said that they voted for the current State Head Ilham Aliyev. Ilham Aliyev is trailed by Gulamhuseyn Alibayli (5.44%), Igbal Agazade (4.74%) and Gudrat Hasanguliyev (4.65%), Fazil Gazanfaroglu (3.92%), Hafiz Hajiyev (0.66%) and Fuad Aliyev (0.009%).

Some 10% of the voters refused to participate in the survey.

Seven candidates participated in the 15 October presidential elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.

The Head of the Center said that the survey made clear that 68.5% of voters participated in the elections. The survey was held at 23 Constituency Election Commissions in Baku and at 41 Constituency Election Commissions in the regions, excluding Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. "No serious violations were revealed during the voting. Certain technical difficulties were resolved during the process," Abbasov said.

He said that the exact results of exit-poll will be disclosed within two-three days.
