A radar-evading aircraft will be tested in summer 2009, Commander of the Iranian Military Air Forces Hasan Shahsefi said, Iranian news agency Fars reports.
"The Iranian Defense Industry Ministry currently produces Saiga and Azerashkh aircrafts. Air forces specialists are trying to produce an aircraft that can escape from radars," Shahsefi told journalist at a festival on Iranian war industry researches in Teheran on Feb.2.
Shahsefi said that Iranian specialists are finishing the aircraft.
"We can test such the aircraft in summer 2009 after which it will proceed to flight tasks," Shahsefi added.
