European Union senior envoy to the South Caucasus Peter Semneby arrived in Tbilisi on July 29. "The issues, which rouse during my absence, should be solved," Semneby told journalists.
"These are the Georgian domestic-policy issues, as well as relations with Russia, situation in the conflict regions, expansion of the EU mission mandate and U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden's visit. However, I can speak about concrete results after the meetings," Semneby said
Semneby will meet with the Georgian government, as well as the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition and representatives of non-governmental sector during his visit.
Semneby did not rule out his visit to Tzkhinvali and Sukhumi to meet with leaders of the separatist regions.
