The theme "Energy Security and new geopolitics around the Caspian Basin" was presented at the Canadian university. Azerbaijani ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev made a report in the Center for International Affairs and Security Studies at York University, Toronto, the embassy said.
The presentation was organized in cooperation with the department of the Center's program "Research in the former communist countries".
In his speech, the diplomat touched on issues of regional security, energy projects in the region, the role of Azerbaijan in the region and cooperation with countries in the region and the West.
