Baku, Azerbaijan, June 25
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Chairman and Chief Executive of Formula One Chase Carey, Formula One Managing Director of Motorsports Ross Brawn and Formula One Managing Director for Commercial Operations Sean Bratches.
The head of state hailed the fact that Formula 1 races are held in Azerbaijan, saying the country`s tourism industry grew 25 per cent after previous events.
President Ilham Aliyev said holding Formula 1 race at Baku city circuit created a good opportunity for promoting the capital of Azerbaijan. The President pointed out huge global audience of the race.
Chairman and Chief Executive of Formula One Chase Carey said he was happy to visit Baku, adding that he was deeply impressed. He described the Azerbaijani capital as a very beautiful city, adding that it was pleasure to have a walk in the city and enjoy its stunning views.
Chase Carey hailed conditions for holding Formula 1 race in Baku.
