Isaczai: Baku Humanitarian Forum to help achieve SDGs

It is already time to move from words to action to reach the Sustainable Development Goals, the UN resident coordinator in Azerbaijan Gulam Isaczai said at the Baku Forum on Sustainable Development, which was held as part of the 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum on Oct. 25.

Isaczai noted that road maps should be prepared for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The resident coordinator stressed that serious steps have been taken in Azerbaijan to achieve progress in this area.

"In order to implement the Sustainable Development Goals, it is necessary to hold such kind of forums to exchange experience and opinions in this area. I hope this Baku forum will combine our knowledge and skills, and help us achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030," Isaczai added.

Today, the 6th International Humanitarian Forum dedicated to "Shaping a New World and a New Humanity: Creativity and Human Development", was launched in Baku.

The two-day forum is attended by 581 people, including 416 foreign guests from 86 countries and 24 international organizations.
