BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. In accordance with the stipulations of the Convention dated October 7, 2002, regarding legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family, and criminal matters, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation has complied with the extradition request from the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan for the following citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan: Adilov Gadim, Israfilov Ilgar, Garibov Namig, Huseynov Mahir, and Abbasov Vahid, Trend reports via the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan.
"Due to substantial suspicions that these individuals engaged in illegal activities as defined by pertinent sections of the illegal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, judgments were made to charge them as accused, and they were placed on the international wanted list to evade investigation.
The above-mentioned persons were detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and conveyed to Azerbaijan accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan," the statement of the nation's General Prosecutor's Office reads.
