ANTALYA, Türkiye, April 11. Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan and personally to President Ilham Aliyev for the support given to his country, Trend reports.
“We express our gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his words of support to Northern Cyprus,” he stated in a conversation with reporters on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
According to him, today's meeting with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov was, first of all, an expression of gratitude to all Azerbaijani friends. The Minister said that the situation on the island and relations between Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots were discussed during the meeting.
Ertuğruloğlu also emphasized that the presence of the Northern Cyprus delegation at the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum is an opportunity to convey its position to a wider audience.
“It is important for us to convey our history to a wider audience here,” he stated.
