Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, congratulated in telephone talk on Tuesday his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in connection with the successful completion of the parliamentary elections and voiced his confidence that the results of the parliamentary elections will serve to further consolidation democracy and stability in favor of prosperity of friendly people of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
In his turn the Azerbaijani President thanked the Russian President for congratulatory letter. Both sides voiced their intention to strengthen multilateral cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan. Aliyev appraised the activities of numerous observers, including the missions from Russia and the CIS.
The head of state voiced his satisfaction with the impetuous development of the bilateral relationships in different spheres. During the telephone talk they held an exchange of opinion on issues of mutual interest, as well as cooperation between the two countries in difference spheres.
