CEC to be legitim even in case of non-representation of some opposition parties at the Committee, Fazil Gazanfaroglu

All opposition parties won in the parliamentary elections must direct their representatives to the Central Election Committee (CEC), opposition MP Fazil Gazanfaroglu, the chairman of the Great Establishement Party (GEP), told Trend.

He noted that the party appointed Ibrahim Mammadov the representative at CEC. According to Gazanfaroglu, other opposition parties, which does not desire to be represented at CEC, must not explaine it with non-forming of the committee on paritety basis. CEC will be regarded as legitime even in case of non-representation of these parties at the Committee, as the opposition parties represented at the Parliament directed their represenatatives to the body. Oppositionists are not only the forces of foreign countries. There are also the forces, which are oppositional by their thinking way, Gazanfaroglu stressed.

Other opposition MP Sabir Hajiyev, the chairman of the Civil Unity Party, also thinks that opposition parties must be represented at election committees. If there is an ooportunity to be represented at the committees, we must use it, he added. The party appointed Tahir Aliyev the representative at CEC. Other party representated at the Parliament Umid (Hope) Party directed Akif Gurban as representative to CEC.
