I dont believe Georgian government will grant refugees status to Azeri citizen that omitted crime in Azerbaijan and fled, reportedly said Zakir Garalov, Azeri General Prosecutor.
Prosecutor said Azer Samedov, who inspired an uprising on October 16, 2003 in Baku, fled to Georgia. In April 2006 he was arrested in Georgia and later released by Georgian Appeal Court. However, this doesnt mean Samedov wont be prosecuted for his crimes.
В"We submitted appropriate documents to Georgian Prosecutors Office. Further, we will do our best to have Georgia deport him to Azerbaijan, where we could arrest him and bring to the courtВ", - Garalov said.
