The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline opened up new opportunities for Turkey, which enabled the project participant countries to become importers of energy products and experts of oil and gas, Trend reports citing Hilmi Guler, the Minister for Energy & Natural Resources.
In the near future Ankara will achieve its aim. Turkey will stop playing the role of energy bridge; and become a terminal of energy products, the Minister stated.
If we are fortunate with our strategic positions, it would be impossible not to benefit from it. Consequently, there are plans to transform the Ceyhan port into a regional energy terminal, Guler said, stressing that the role of Ceyhan will develop in the near future.
