PA NATO Says: No Country Can Forcibly Keep and Occupy Other Countries Territory

No country can forcibly keep and occupy other countries territory Vahit Erdem, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Future Security And Defense of the Committee of PA NATO (Parliamentary Assembly of North-Atlantic Organization) told during today`s press-conference in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan`s Parliament), Trendreports.

He pointed out that NATO supports peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the Abkhazian issue in Georgia. If these problems are solved, then economic development will boom in South Caucasus.

The Head of the NATO Subcommittee also pointed out that reports are under preparation on the situation in South Caucasus. The document will include the protests of the Azerbaijani party, he underlined. According to Mr. Erdem, time is needed to form the Azerbaijani Army in accordance with the NATO standards. He also said, that Turkey has always supported Azerbaijan and will support Azerbaijan in this issue, in the future too.
