USAID Provides Computer Equipments for Center of Azeri Economic Development Ministry

The Public Investment Policy (PIP) Project, supported by the U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide the Centre of Economic Reforms (CER), the scientific-research branch of the Ministry of Economic Development, with state-of-art computer hardware, software and visual aid equipment at the CER premises at 88A Zardabi Avenue, Baku on Friday, December 19, 2006, Trend reports with reference to the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The equipment will be used for economic research as well as to train officials on integrated project analysis, the process whereby projects are validated for inclusion in the State Public Investment Program. The PIP Project is working with the Centre of Economic Research to conduct a multi-week training session on project cycle management and integrated cost-benefit analysis.
