Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), is currently on a visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) and said that the people of Azerbaijan will not have any problem with the natural gas supply in 2007, Trend reports.
Talks on Russian gas deliveries in 2007 are being continued. We also continue discussions on redistribution of the Turkish share of Shah Deniz gas, said Rovnag Abdullayev.
He noted that import gas is supplied to electric power grids for further generation of electricity.
This year Azerbaijan is importing 4bln cu m of gas from Russia at the price of $110 per 1,000 cu m. in 2007 Gasprom proposed to increase prices to $235 per 1,000 cu m.
