Natik Aliyev, the Azerbaijan Minister for Energy and Industry, said on February 13th that Р'Р Azerbaijan will launch the second pre-drilling well on Shah Deniz gas condensate later this February, Trend reports.
Afterwards the third and fourth wells will be commissioned. Following the commissioning of three wells, Р'Р Azerbaijan will return to work in the first well, he stresed.
At present Р'Р Azerbaijan is resolving the problem in the first pre-driling well and will simultanelusly connect the second well with the platform.
The first well was closed down due to gas leakage.
A total of 8.6bln cu m of gas is expected to be produced on the plateau stage under Stage 1 of Shah Deniz Field Development. 5.4-5.6bln cu m of gas will be produced from the field in 2007.
