Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr S.Agayeva / Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in July 2007. The Slovenian Consul in Baku, Borut Megushar, reported that a principle agreement on the visit has been confirmed although technical issues are yet to be resolved. By the end of the year both parties will make the necessary arrangements, the diplomat added.
This will be the Slovenian President's first official visit to Azerbaijan in reply to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev's visit to Slovenia last August.
The Slovenian President's forthcoming visit was also discussed with the Azerbaijan President at a meeting of the newly-appointed Ambassador of this country to Azerbaijan, Mitja Strukelj, while he was presenting his credentials.
