Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / Azerbaijan and Tajikistan intend to expand their co-operation in the oil and gas sphere as well as in the mining industry with regards to the electricity.
An agreement was reached during the meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Akil Akilov, Tajikistan media reports. The President of Azerbaijan invited the Prime Minister to collaborate in realizing projects such as constructing roads and bridges and the infrastructure and agriculture. It was decided to establish an Inter-Governmental Commission for Economic Co-operation and a working group to define the future positive co-operation areas.
The meeting of the Azerbaijani President and the Tajikistan Prime Minister took place within Aliyev's official visit to Tajikistan.
