Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 August / Trend corr. J.Babayeva / About 30 school leavers, who managed to collect over 500 points, did not enter Universities, Maleyka Abbaszade, chairman of the State Commission on Student Admission (SCSA) said to journalists on 22 August.
"Thirty-five school leavers in the Azerbaijani sector also have collected over 500 points and two school leavers in the Russian sector. These school leavers have submitted their documents to the 3rd and 4th groups," Abbaszade said.
These school leavers made wrong choice and refused from participation in the second round.
"For the first time certain changes were introduced into the student admission rules in 2008. Students can choose specialties only after announcement of collected points. In spite of SCSA promoted wide choice of specialties for school leavers, most of them made wrong choice," Abbaszade said.
The current practice showed that most school leavers and their parents are not ready to choose their specialties themselves.
Some 26,571 school leavers entered to proposed 28,132 planned places.
