Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 December / Trend corr. R.Ergun/ Shahin Diniyev, former chief coach of the Azerbaijani national football team, will lead Russian Terek club.
"Yesterday I returned from Grozny. We discussed all issues with the leadership of Terek and came to an agreement. From the new season on I will work in that club," Diniyev said to Trend on 1 December.
Shahin Diniyev was coach of the Azerbaijani national football team. After losing in Baku a European Championship qualification match to Serbia with a score 1:6 in October 2007, he resigned from head coach post.
Diniyev intends to visit Grozny again in early 2009.
"I will head for Grozny on 2 January and after two days I will sign a contract. I would like to sign a contract for at least a year," said Diniyev.
According to Diniyev, administration of the club has set a challenge for him to create a strong team.
Earlier Diniyev was chief coach of Azerbaijani Ganja and Garabag clubs.
